5315: Measurement Strategy & Connecting and Communicating Your Ideas

Exploring the Impact of Collaborative Game Design Projects on Student Engagement and Problem-Solving Skills

Throughout 5315, I embarked on an exciting journey to explore how collaborative game design projects can enhance student engagement and problem-solving skills in my game design curriculum. This course allowed me to dive deep into the world of action research and develop a comprehensive plan to investigate this innovative teaching approach.

Key Milestones:

1.  Action Research Outline : I began by crafting a detailed outline of my research focus, clearly defining my purpose and research question. This foundation helped shape the direction of my study and ensured a clear path forward.

My research aims to contribute valuable insights to the field of game design education and potentially influence teaching practices beyond my own classroom. By investigating the intersection of collaboration, game design, and student outcomes, I hope to enhance the learning experience for future game designers and developers.

As I reflect on this journey, I'm proud of the work I've accomplished and excited about the potential impact of this research. The skills and knowledge I've gained throughout this course will undoubtedly shape my approach to teaching and curriculum development in the future.
